Congratulations go to Dave Bennett on being selected to be the new Communications and Multimedia Coordinator for the City of Columbus.
Dave is excited about this new position, which is a combination of website and social media work, tourism, and of course, community media. Dave said, “I like working in community media because it lets me use my skillset in very creative ways, plus I am a history and government transparency buff!
I plan to identify all the positive aspects of Columbus and just run with those. I’d like to foster more community engagement, and I would also like to highlight the beautiful and unique downtown architecture and historic homes that Columbus has.”
Dave has a background in art and business, completing a major in both from Ripon College. He has most recently worked for the City of Marshfield and the City of Port Washington in similar positions.
Dave began his new position in Columbus on September 13th. The city is still looking to hire a part-time production specialist to assist Dave. Read about it here.
