Mayor Emily McFarland signed a proclamation by the City of Watertown.

The City of Watertown and the City of Marshfield passed resolutions in honor of Community Media Day.

The City of Watertown’s proclamation said “all people are hereby called upon to promote the importance of community media, training available at Watertown Media Productions, and programming available on Watertown TV.”

Marshfield’s resolution declared that “the sharing of ideas and information helps to build common understanding and common values within a community” and that “community media organizations provide a means for diverse communities to tell their stories, hear each other’s stories, and create new stories together.”

Several others held open houses – Sun Prairie held a virtual open house -- and posted celebratory WCM Facebook and Instagram posts on their feeds or created their own to celebrate the big day.
